Hi, there, I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this: I recently changed my hard drive, as my old one was dying. Now, after I formatted, etc., & ran avast quick scan, the scans have been taking about 1 & 1/2 hrs, & scanning approx. Avast, Avira Free Antivirus for Mac, ClamXAV, and several others include the option to define a scan schedule. AVG, like Sophos, Malwarebytes, and a few others, eschews the scheduled scan. The Scan menu offers full system scan, removable volumes scan, custom scan, home network security scan and a scheduled scan capability. The home network scan does a ping around your home LAN and tries to identify which devices are present.

Full System Scheduled Scan Takes Forever On Avast For Mac Review
When I do a full scan on Windows Defender it takes so long that I have to cancel it as it can take 8 hours just to scan a fraction. I can only do a quick or a custom scan. I stopped using Defender as I thought there might be some blockages making it so slow . I downloaded AVAST freebie and thought that a full scan would resolve it. I then uninstalled AVAST and tried Defender's Full scan again but still having the same problem that I can't do a full scan. Can I rectify this please? I do malwarebytessuper antispyware scans daily..
